Friday and Saturday night we stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn (Anaheim Maingate). It was a two story penthouse with two bathrooms - very nice. We walked the two blocks to Disneyland.
Our first stop was the California Screamin coaster in California Adventure.
Our next stop was "Toy Story Mania." This is hard to describe. You wear 3-D glasses then shoot at the arcade targets. But it's all virtual, so no 2-D photo can do it justice. This is the attraction that Stephanie had a "behind the scenes" tour a few months prior as part of a USC engineering field trip.
What do you know? They had beer and wine tasting, so Stephanie and Kim tasted four wines before proceeding.
Around 6pm we returned, tasting 5 beers and four more wines - and then we rode Space Mountain - that was fun:
I'm just enjoying the ride - it's dark except for light effects. Rather than purchase the above photo Stephanie just snapped a picture of it off the video display. Works for me - compensates for the $40 we spent on water throughout the day.
This Karl Strauss "Tower 10 IPA" was definitely my favorite beer of the bunch - but I'm digressing...
Here we are at Disneyland on Main Street. We then rode: Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, the train around the park... The Indiana Jones ride was interesting - it was a combination of "Pirates" but in a hydraulic cart that bounced around.
At Thunder Mountain In the evening we strolled Downtown Disney between the two parks and spent a few hours at the video arcade in ESPN Zone.
