On his trip to Switzerland in 1982 Kim met Florence Depraz in the McDonalds across from the train station in Lausanne. The were pen pals for awhile after that. We visited Florence, her boyfriend Eric, and her family, and stayed the night at their house in Renens outside of Lausanne. Probably having Fondue in the front yard, in Renens, outside of Lausanne, Switzerland
The next day we took a paddle-boat out on Lake Geneva
Then then took us to the Gruyere cheese factory. (When I returned to the U.S. I saw that the cheese from this plant was on the shelf of my local Raleys.
We then took a train to Interlaken - the views from the trains are amazing
Train at Interlaken. The lake really is this color
More Lake Interlaken We then took the train up the mountain to Zermatt. No cars are allowed in Zermatt, making it a great place to walk around.
