We left San Francisco Sept 1st at midnight, arrived in Manila Sept
3rd at 4am, then at 8am we took a 1-hour flight to Tagbilaran, Bohol. The
view out the left-side window during landing was spectacular, so I've
tried to recreate it via Google Earth and a clip of the same flight
landing from Manga Point.
This is my first time out on the motorcycle: We paid the down
payment for a new Honda XRM 125 for Tess' brother. In exchange we got to
use it during our visit.
These are clips of traffic, including a suicide pass by a van, presumably carrying tourists to Alona Beach resorts.
(This endangered us in our van, and having vehicles pass in my lane while on the motorcycle was common. Due
to the number of mostly resort vehicles driving like this, we did not like the road from Alona Beach to Tagbilaran,
preferring the longer loop around the north shore.)
Tess and I drove the motorcycle from Alona Beach to downtown
Tagbilaran, then parents drove us to Abenson Electronics in Island City
Mall to buy a Karaoke for the Saturday party.
Tess and I walk to the store for a San Miguel Beer. First, Tess
sees cousin Jude selling mangoes. Then we run into cousin Arthur who
wants to sing in English with Kim. He asks Tess to buy him a beer, but
since he has been drinking Tess will only give him money.

7) Flower Garden Resort in Alona Beach, Panglao Island
We walked through Alona Palm Beach Resort from Flower Garden Resort
to Alona Beach. Then for $8, I rented snorkel equipment and hired a
boat to go out to the end of the reef for an hour.

11) Family karaoke party in Manga, Tagbilaran City
We chartered a van and driver for $75 to go with Tess' family and
friends to visit Sagbayan Peak and Chocolate Hills. We stopped at a
hospital in Carmen to drop food and snacks off for Tess' youngest
sister, Terter, who was doing nursing internship.
We hiked up Elly Hill for a view above Manga. "Calixto" has a
tent and religious stuff at the top, is known for being crucified, and
charged us a small fee to enter the fenced area at the top.
Tess' friends took us from Manga Point up the river to a swimming
spot in Cortes called Bili-Bili. Then we took the boats back to
Tagbilaran and tied up at Bohol Tropics Resort to eat at their restaurant.
These boats are normally used for fishing.

ride from Alona to Panglao City, continuing to Dulho Point.
This is a tour of the Flower Garden Resort, in Alona Beach, Panglao
Island, where we stayed for 5 days in September 2007.
Video includes the drive to court for a court hearing, and then
lunch at the Bohol Bee Farm outlet at Island City Mall.
We made several trips to nearby Manga Point. Once we got stuck in
the rain, other times we were swimming, collected shells, or went out in boats.

the return loop from Chocolate Hills we had buffet lunch on a Loboc
River Cruise. 
We hiked up Elly Hill for a view above Manga. "Calixto" has a
tent and religious stuff at the top, is known for being crucified, and
charged us a small fee to enter the fenced area at the top.
I joined the locals in their ancient ritual of drinking beer in the payag-payag,
a small hut made of palm leaves and bamboo.
Tess' friends took us from Manga Point up the river to a swimming
spot in Cortes called Bili-Bili. Then we took the boats back to
Tagbilaran and tied up at Bohol Tropics Resort to eat at their restaurant.

Waiting for flight to Manila, Bodel and I took a final motorcycle
ride to Punta Cruz Watch Tower in Maribojoc.
Tess used to work for Nissan - EDSA and organized a Karaoke Party
for her friends and former co-workers at Red Box in the new TriNoMa
Mall.
