Christmas in RenoWe had an early Christmas with my sister in Reno, Nevada, driving up Friday December 18th. The first thing we noticed was a lot of snow in Reno. Many side streets had not been plowed. Friday evening we opened gifts. We got "Flip Video" for both of my sister's kids. We also drank wine and vodka - and tequila - and went out for Mexican food. We rented two of my favorite movies that most had not seen yet:
Saturday afternoon we went bowling at the former "MGM Grand Hotel" - as I knew it when I lived there. Saturday evening we attended the UNR vs Wagner (New York) basketball game. I was surprised by the songs that the band played - from my high school days in Reno:
I recall dancing to the second song at "Yori's Disco 2000" in Reno when I was 17. (I appreciate that song even more today.) Sunday we walked around Virginia Lake (on the icy sidewalk) and fed the ducks. My sister had dropped off her pet ducks there some time ago. They still recognize her when she comes to feed them. Stephanie had purchased herself a Canon DSLR (EOS 7D) which was used to take the following photos.
